100% wool coats, 100% recycled
THE NEW WINTER COATS FOR MEN AND WOMEN IN RECYCLED WOOL
A refined, recycled, mono-material fabric that meets our circularity standards
That polyamide we never really got along with
These are not Rifò’s first coats.
Our earliest coats contained a percentage of recycled polyamide. Sometimes sustainability depends on the materials available on the market.
After extensive research, we managed to source a fabric that meets our standards: 100% wool, 100% recycled.
Thanks to these pieces, we have completely eliminated synthetic fibers from our production.
Sustainable, with an ultra-soft feel
The first time we touched this fabric, we said: this is it!
These garments have a soft and delicate texture, thanks to their pure wool composition and a traditional production process that follows every step of the cycle in a single place full of history and tradition.
Warm and breathable
The new Rifò coats are fully recyclable, partly because they have no lining, which is usually made of nylon or polyester.
Their 100% wool composition keeps them warm and, most importantly, breathable — so just one layer is enough.
Unlike fabrics containing polyester, wool is thermoregulating: it retains heat and absorbs moisture, providing superior comfort.
Fabrics made like they used to be
The wool fabric of our coats is produced by Lanificio Balli, just about 10 minutes from our office, in a place steeped in the heritage of a centuries-old textile tradition.
In this factory-town, built in 1848, things are done the old-fashioned way — following every step of the fabric’s production cycle in one single, historic location.
Recycled and recyclable
The single-material composition of 100% wool ensures this outerwear piece is fully recyclable.
